If you’d like to spend the day touring the local wineries in the comfort of the Explore Marlborough vehicles, this is the tour for you! Our premium Marlborough wine tour experience is a private driving wine tour tailored to your individual tastes. You’ll tour 5+ boutique and iconic Marlborough’s wineries and stop at one for a personalised wine experience.
Your wine experience will be one of three things (based on availability):
- A private tour of the winery
- A private tasting
- A unique food-and-wine matching experience
We stop for a delicious a la carte lunch at a beautiful vineyard restaurant (at the client’s cost). Stunning scenery, wonderful food, world-class wines, and a friendly, experienced guide make this an unforgettable experience. Your guide will design a special experience just for you, based on the wine you like and the experience you’re after.
Your personalised wine experience isn’t open to the public, we craft it custom to you to share a kind of personal touch that you just can’t get without our local knowledge. We’re thrilled to be able to share it with you!

The Deluxe Private Full Day Driving Wine Tour is NZ$600 per adult (ages 13+). Children aged 6-13 are NZ$300, infants under 5 are NZ$300, and solo travellers pay NZ$1,200 (equivalent to two adult places). All winery tasting costs are included. Lunch at a vineyard restaurant is at your own cost.

Everything except lunch. You get a friendly, knowledgeable local guide, a private vehicle, visits to five or more boutique and iconic Marlborough wineries, all tasting costs, and a personalised wine experience at one of them. This could be a private winery tour, a private tasting, or a food and wine matching experience. Pick-up and drop-off from your Blenheim or Renwick accommodation is included.

We collect you from your accommodation at around 9:45am in our vehicle and spend the day exploring Marlborough wine country together. You choose the wineries you want to visit, or we build the perfect itinerary for you based on your tastes. The day includes a long lunch at a vineyard restaurant and wraps up with a drop-off back at your accommodation at around 4:00pm.

That’s entirely up to you. We visit five or more boutique and iconic Marlborough wineries, and you can choose them yourself or let us curate the day based on what you enjoy. Whether you want the big names like Cloudy Bay, intimate organic estates, or somewhere with a great restaurant, we’ll build the day around you.

At one of your chosen wineries, you’ll receive an exclusive experience not available to the general public. Depending on the winery and availability, this could be a private winery tour, a hosted private tasting, or a unique food and wine matching experience. It’s the kind of access that only comes with local knowledge and relationships built over time.

Absolutely. This is the tour for you. You explore Marlborough wine country in comfort, with no cycling required. It’s also a great option for guests with mobility considerations, those who want a more relaxed pace, or anyone who simply prefers to sit back and let a local guide handle everything.

Yes. The tour is suitable for all ages. Children aged 6-13 are welcome at NZ$300, and infants under 5 are NZ$300.

The tour has a maximum of six people, keeping it genuinely private and personal. If you’re travelling as a larger group, get in touch and we’ll discuss options.

Lunch is not included in the tour price, but it is very much part of the day. We stop for an a la carte lunch at a beautiful vineyard restaurant, and your can guide join you for the meal (Optional). You pay for your own food and drinks at the restaurant.

Both are private, fully guided, and include all tasting costs, but the experience is quite different. The driving tour is all about comfort and ease. You travel by vehicle, visit five or more wineries, and enjoy a completely tailored day with no physical effort required. The guided bike tour adds the pleasure of cycling through the vines and is a slightly more active way to experience wine country.

We collect you from your Marlborough accommodation at around 9:45am in our vehicle. At the end of the day, we drop you back to your accommodation at around 4:00pm, but of course this can be completely customised to your needs.

Yes, completely. Tell us the wines you love, the experiences you’re after, or the wineries you’ve always wanted to visit, and we’ll build the day around you. If you’d rather leave it to us, we’ll put together an itinerary based on what’s best in the region right now.
