The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards are always a special moment in the year, a chance to come together, reflect, and recognise the people and businesses contributing to our region.

This year, Explore Marlborough is incredibly proud to be named a finalist in the Excellence in Hospitality & Tourism category, alongside a group of operators who each bring something unique to the Marlborough visitor experience.

Each of these businesses play an important role in shaping how visitors experience Marlborough, from the Sounds, to the vineyards, to boutique accommodation and beyond.

Being recognised alongside this group is something we’re genuinely grateful for.

Taking Time to Reflect

For us at Explore Marlborough, the awards process gave us a rare opportunity to step back and reflect.

In what is a very busy and seasonal business, we’re often focused on delivering great experiences day-to-day. Taking the time to look at the bigger picture, our growth, our people, and the partnerships we’ve built across the region was incredibly valuable.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming thousands of guests to Marlborough and continuing to grow our range of experiences, including our premium and bespoke offerings. None of this happens in isolation, it’s made possible by the incredible network of local businesses we work alongside.

A Region on the Rise

There’s a real sense of momentum in Marlborough right now.

Across tourism and hospitality, businesses are continuing to evolve, invest, and lift the standard of what’s on offer. The strength of this year’s finalists is a great reflection of that and a reminder of what we can achieve when we work together.
